JOKO renames to NUCO and adopts new corporate identity

Effective as of March 1st, JOKO Cosmetics, the Polish color cosmetics contract manufacturing company, changes its name to NUCO, to better reflect the business brand the company has become and to reposition itself as a leading partner not just in contract production but also in innovation.“After more than 20 years in the business, we have developed some valuable partnerships based on straightforward, practical approach, trust and honesty and learnt to really understand and reliably meet the needs of our clients,” explains Grzegorz Wyrzykowski, Sales and Marketing Director at NUCO. The company, whose new name can be interpreted, among others, as “new JOKO”, will draw on this experience, but will place more emphasis on the “NU” part of the business by focusing on strengthening its R&D efforts and accelerating the company’s speed to market.

“Color cosmetics industry,” Wyrzykowski continues, “has never been as dynamic as it has become in recent years. It means new products are launched all the time and innovations are expected to go to market at incredible speed to meet the ever growing expectations of consumers.” The name change and new corporate image communicate NUCO’s commitment to be a solid partner for the clients in this fast-paced product development process.

To deliver on its promise to offer state-of-the-art solutions that can be commercialized at competitive speeds, NUCO has invested heavily in its machine park and R&D department. “With two modern production plants and laboratories, new dynamic R&D department, new automated machines for back/front injection and expanded warehouse space, we are ready to face the challenges of the most demanding brand owners,” says Grzegorz Wyrzykowski. And with plans to further develop their production capacities, build a new assembly shop and intensify QA and R&D activities, NUCO’s staff believe their new name marks the beginning of a very exciting chapter in their company’s history.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

NUCO (formerly JOKO Cosmetics) is a contract manufacturer of color cosmetics with over 20 years of experience. Located near Warsaw, Poland, the company employs over 250 people in its two state-of-the-art plants and microbiological laboratory, R&D, Quality Control, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and in the Warehouse.

It started out by producing cosmetics for its own brands and soon complemented this with contract manufacturing activity. Having taken the strategic decision of selling its own brands in May 2012, the company became solely dedicated to production of cosmetics for Private Labels and since 2014 continues its growth under a new name, NUCO. It offers pressed and baked products, lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations, concealers, mascaras, primers and many more.
