The “Welcome on Board” space has been created in response to a necessity for the cardboard manufacturers to gather in order to present a nearly exhaustive offer within the unmissable make-up event that is MakeUp in Paris.
Indeed, all the interrogated exhibitors agree on the fact that both the make-up and skin-care industry are increasingly interesting for their companies, and that they must answer to more and more specific, scalable and innovative demands. MR Cartonnage showed us that the make-up industry is “an additional opportunity to serve existing or newly created brands” with a keen interest on the skin-care industry because of its fast-paced growth. Another example, Iggesund’s Invercote Board has a strong foothold in those (make-up and skin-care) areas, especially among customers who value high performance and “designability” as well as very low environmental impact.
About the evolutions forecasted for the cardboard industry within the beauty world, the opinions are a bit more mitigated. The company Kurz explained to us that the industry must reinvent itself, offer more flexibility and decoration options. On the contrary MR Cartonnage sees a very bright future for the cardboard industry, explaining that cardboard is nowadays the best marketing support both for retail and internet sales and that the industry is becoming even more digital and connected, change is already there! In the meantime, Iggesund offers us a contrasted point of view: relying on the fact that both the raising of living standards and of the trend of male grooming will increase the paperboard sales to the beauty world by almost 100%!
As you will have understood, for these companies, the make-up and skincare industries do have a future! Thanks to their evolutions but also thanks to the exigency of their clients and social evolutions.
