MakeUp in Paris 2014 already promises to be a major event!
The major annual appointment of the make-up industry, which will take place on 12 and 13 June next at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris already promises to be the major European event of the year 2014. Just a month and a half after the mailing of the forms, not only does the re-registration rate beat all records compared to previous years, with a sharp increase in the average size of booths, but new requests to attend the show also keep coming in from every corner of the world. This gives an idea of a foreseeable success, which is due in large part to the uniqueness of an event whose main ingredients are named professionalism, privacy and conviviality.
A controlled growth and a synergy
There lies the very challenge… Know how to manage both a reasonable growth by enabling visitors to discover new key players in the trade and their innovative solutions in terms of formulas or packagings, while preserving what stands as one of the strong points of this event praised by exhibitors and visitors, its size. One of the reasons why requests for an increase in booths’ sizes will voluntarily be kept to a maximum of 20%. And given both the increases in booths sizes and the number of new applications, we will be fully booked in no time, admitted Sandra Maguarian, the Show Manager of MakeUp in Paris. New applications that we are carefully considering with Jean-Yves Bourgeois, she said, to preserve the positioning of MakeUp in Paris, i.e., a majority proportion of companies from the formula and/or full service sector with a recognised professionalism, and well established packaging and accessory manufacturers. Therefore there won’t be enough room for everyone!
Another strong trend for 2014, the growing synergy between two successful events, MakeUp in NewYork and MakeUp in Paris and that will be gaining momentum with the creation of MakeUp in Seoul. A number of American and European exhibitors will be present on both sides of the Atlantic and there is an increasing mutual interest between Korean, European and American companies.
MakeUp in 2014, sweet surprises to come
On 12 and 13 June, next year, the organizing team of MakeUp in Paris 2014 also has a hand full of new surprises for you, whether in terms of scenography, booths architecture, the choice of furniture or animations. Main theme: gourmandise, and more specifically that of candies will be presented under different ways during the many animations. Be it with the MakeUParade for which students coming from various make-up schools will have to imagine make-up reminiscent of the world of sweets, the MakeUPhantasy whose creations will be performed by a Parisian Design school, will reveal the close similarity between the colours of make-up palettes and those of sweets. Not forgetting of course the distribution of sweets throughout the day, and many other surprises that we will reveal very soon.
