What are the novelties that the visitors will discover at MakeUp in Paris 2018?

Sandra Maguarian: Thanks to a team entirely dedicated and passionate about the make-up universe we have worked on creating a great vintage for 2018’s edition. This show will be the general rehearsal for the big event that’s going to be MakeUp in Paris 2019 during which we’ll celebrate MakeUp in tenth anniversary! Novelties are numerous, I would mention first the fact that we are welcoming this year not less than 45 new exhibitors mainly from the formula and packaging industries. 2018 will confirm the synergy between skin-care and make-up by officialising the fact that one third of our exhibitors are subcontractors in skin-care. This is a great opportunity for our visitors to find in a single show both focuses hence getting a global view of this world. To make sure that our visitors recognize easily the exhibitors from the skin-care industry, we have placed white dots above their stands.

What can you tell us about the animations scheduled for the ninth edition of MakeUp in Paris?

Sandra Maguarian: MakeUp in’s concept was originally based, at its creation in 2010, on gathering make-up professionals around the subcontractors’ offer, informative and didactic animation and experiential animations. We enrich and recreate this concept each year, indeed, not less than twelwe conferences will cover the “hottest” subjects now as Phygital (Physical and Digital) or the make-up market in the middle-east. We also have scheduled a dozen of workshops and animations, for example, the launching of Work in MakeUp, a platform on which exhibitors will promote their open positions. MakeUp in shows being a trendsetter we are launching the ColorWave in partnership with Beautystreams, highlighting this year’s colour trends.

This show will be full of novelties, what about the historical animations?

Sandra Maguarian: Of course, the tendancy is around the Millenials, but we do not forget those who are not! MakeUp in Paris 2018 will be full of novelties and will carry on improving the animation we have been proposing since the beginning. The Innovation Tree will stand strong at the show’s entrance! We have established a new record for participation for the Innovation Tree with more than 80 products submitted to the judgment of our panel of professionals. As always, the MakeUParade will take place, with the coming of two make-up schools (The Morgane Hilgers Academy and SLA Academy) and prestigious guests. We are also promoting the cardboard industry, the pigment industry, the digital industry etc.
We want to keep on making this show a unique moment for both the exhibitors and the visitors and are working hard to satisfy everyone’s expectations!

As you would have understood by now, this years edition will be full of surprises and novelties! Come and discover all those surprises at the Carrousel du Louvre from the 21st to the 22nd of June 2018!
