MakeUp in Paris confirms its position as leader in the make-up sector for 2015!

Four months after the fifth edition of MakeUp in Paris closed its doors, an analysis of entries coupled with the result of a survey conducted a few days ago among some 2,800 visitors of the 2014 edition leave no room for doubt! More than 90% of them say they were satisfied! For the respondents, “trends”, “innovation” and “creativity” are the words that best characterize this event, in that order. The vast majority of them spent an entire day at the show. And, against all odds, quite a few them would like an additional day (!). The main characteristic of the “average” MakeUp in Paris visitor is “loyalty”, and this loyalty increases over time. The more the years pass, the more MakeUp in Paris stands out as a not-to-be-missed industry event. Nearly half of all visitors say they attended the conferences, which is a particularly important score and confirms the show’s positioning as a platform for exchange! For the vast majority of visitors, the internet is clearly the main vehicle for inciting people to visit the event and for informing them. But, interestingly, “word of mouth” also works very well. The relational aspect is gaining in importance every year. The specialized press, “to which we say a big thank you,” is also mentioned as one of the main vectors for inciting people to come and visit MakeUp in Paris. As to the question: “what are you looking for at MakeUp in Paris?”, the answer is unanimously, “to discover new products”, followed by ” to get the latest news on make-up”, not forgetting “to meet new exhibitors.”

More and more foreign visitors!

In terms of the number of foreign visitors (30% of all visitors over the two days), these results simply reinforce the figures for this exceptional 2014 edition. Some came from particularly far-off countries, like Australia, Brazil, Japan and Taiwan. The 2014 edition was also marked by the growing presence of visitors from the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, Finland, Holland, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, etc. “This survey and our on-the-spot surveys prove it,” explain the organizers, “exhibitors and visitors insist on the conviviality and professionalism of MakeUp in Paris. Their only request being: ‘Don’t grow any bigger!’… A surprising request for a trade show, don’t you think?!”

See you on 18 and 19 June 2015!

“Don’t grow any bigger”… we’ve got the message! MakeUp in Paris will work on consolidating its position as an “exclusive trade show for the make-up industry”. There are eight months to go before the next edition, which will be held at the Carrousel du Louvre on 18 and 19 June, and already the maximum number of stands has almost been reached. Nearly all those exhibiting at the previous edition have already signed up again, and many have decided to increase their surface area. A warm welcome to some – privileged – newcomers, who will also have a place. Also worth noting is the success of MakeUPigments, the workshop/exhibition dedicated to ingredients, which is growing due to the presence of some new companies from this sector, effectively reinforcing MakeUp in Paris’ positioning as a truly ”industry” event unlike any other in the world, covering everything from ingredients to make-up accessories and including formulation and packaging.
