Paris will always be Paris!

The next MakeUp in Paris, which will take place next June 21th and 22nd, will stand once again for the European make-up industry as the not-to-be-missed event. It cannot be denied that “Paris will always be Paris”, that is to say, one of the capitals (not to say “The” capital!) of Beauty in the world. And even though, looking at the latest statistics, the franco-French domestic market is somewhat struggling at the moment, like in fact all other European markets (sales of hygiene and beauty products in supermarkets were down by more than 2% in 2017 while in the selective circuit, the sector experienced 1% fall), major French brands, thanks to export sales, have never done so well. With some of them even posting record sales in all areas, especially in the make-up and skincare niche. To note that lip products are pulling the market upwards with 3% growth, including gloss (+ 15%).

Key suppliers in the sector are not mistaken: MakeUp in Paris is THE place to be to meet these brands’ decision-makers. The 9th edition of a unique appointment. Nine years “already”(!)…, or nine years “only”(!), We don’t exactly know how to qualify an event, which from its inception, had proved its relevance and effectiveness while, last year it had welcomed more than 3200 visitors in two days.
