MakeUp in NewYork to double the number of exhibitors!

The third edition of MakeUp in NewYork, which will open its doors on 25 and 26 September 2013, promises to be an exceptional event. First, thanks to the growing number and quality of its exhibitors (which has doubled compared to last year), then because of the density of the conference program which is currently being finalized, and finally thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of the whole American Beauty sector.

MakeUp in NewYork has developed a great relationship with The Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers organization and this year will concretely result with us joining forces with them at their Fall Cocktail Party the evening of September 25th. Information on this great annual event offered by CIBS will be available in the coming months, including specifics on pricing and the location. The Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers organization (CIBS) boasts in excess of 500+ members in packaging procurement, sales, development, engineering and design. Established in 1946, the name « Cosmetic Industry Byers and Suppliers Association » was formally adopted on April 4, 1948. The avowed purpose of CIBS – « to provide amid friendly surroundings, a meeting place where the existing and future younger element may be properly inducted into the cosmetic trade ».

“Make-up” workshops

A partnership that will also benefit from the active participation of the Department of Cosmetics and Perfumes of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where its students under the direction of Virginia Bonofiglio, will present the results of their work on make-up as part of a large cosmetic workshop.

For exhibitors, it is clear that this third edition is at the image of the unfailing success of MakeUp in New York for the past two years. The “Center548”, located at the heart of the Chelsea quarter, will be hosting twice as many exhibitors as last year during two consecutive days. To note among the very last to have signed up for the event, the Joko, The Color Factory and Polychromatic companies.

A further evidence of the growing notoriety of MakeUp in NewYork, the strong growth in the number of visitors to the website The latest statistics show an increase of over 2% year on year of the number of unique visitors with a large majority (60%) of first-time visitors.
