Six more months to go and the third edition of MakeUp in NewYork will open its doors in its new venue, at the Center548, in the heart of the Chelsea Art District, 548 West, 22nd Street. This great make-up event in the North American industry will host this year twice as many exhibitors compared to last year, that is, more than sixty industry professionals. Two-thirds are U.S. companies (Click here to see the exhibitors list). Among recent companies to have registered, we find Ama laboratories, Nastritex, Cavalla, Chemicos, Cosmetic Specialties International, Fusion Packaging, Hwa Sung.

Two-days of “non-stop” conferences

Ten conferences will animate these two days. Here’s a preview of the topics. More details about the speakers coming up soon …

Main highlights of Wednesday, September 25th:

As of 10:15 am, interactions between fashion and make-up (“It is a narrow border! Everything is a question of trends. A trends agency will take you on the paths of future trends and will tell you more about new coming colours…).

A presentation which will be followed at 01:30 pm by a special round table dedicated to innovation: (“Innovation and Economic Realities, what is the winning combination?)…

At 02:30 pm, the second round table focusing on “Make-up and Sustainable Development, a simple fad or true underlying trend?”

Finally at 3:45 pm, speakers will be given the floor for a highly topical subject: “Industrial Relocation, myth or reality?”

The five meetings to not miss on Thursday, September 26th :

Friday morning will take off at top speed as of 10:15 am with the presentation by the students of the F.I.T. of their vision of make-up through a real interactive workshop.

Then visitors will certainly pay a great interest in two lectures, at 11:30 am, focused on two flagship products of the make-up sector, mascara and nail polish.

From 01:30 am to 02:45 pm, how can a brand create product concepts that appeal to many different cultures successfully in a world concerned with global warming, environmental responsibility, animal ethics and world politics?

At 03:00 pm, Korea will be the focal point of attention during this debate. A country whose make-up industry never ceases to amaze through its dynamism.

Day after day the network continues to focus its attention on this unique event that will host more than 1,500 professionals over two days. In addition to the will of the C.I.B.S. to organize its fall cocktail party in cooperation with the organizers of MakeUp in NewYork, the F.I.T. has just announced its participation. The active participation of the make-up department from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) whose students are already working on the development of an original presentation of their work, will be one of the highlights of the third edition of MakeUp in NewYork. And that’s not all! The Make Up For Ever Academy will also be the main partner of “make-up” animations that will take place for two days non-stop in the aisles of the show.

They support MakeUp in NewYork…, and they say it!

Floriane David “In January 2012, the Make Up For Ever US Academy opened its doors to aspiring make-up artists and it now trains 40 make-up artists every year. This year the Academy is delighted to team up with the MakeUp in NewYork trade show, which has quickly become a beacon of innovation and creativity in the US make up field. The Academy students will corporate with the MakeUp in NewYork team on the make-up demos.”

Mario Magali “We have decided to join the dynamics of MakeUp in NewYork” , says Mario Magali, C.I.B.S President, “as this event has proven these last two years its ability to perfectly gather the US Make-Up Industry, and as these dynamics were just at their early stages. Our cooperation for this evening party shows our shared willingness to join forces for the benefit of this line of business dedicated to beauty, luxury and innovation.”

Virginia Bonifiglio “We are particularly proud to give our students the possibility to actively participate to the third edition of MakeUp in NewYork, says Virginia Bonifiglio,… A place dedicated to creativity and high hopes for all our young people who have grown a passion for their studies and wish to integrate this sector at the highest level. Unquestionably, for an entire industry, MakeUp in NewYork is the place to attend.”

We cannot wait for… MakeUp in NewYork 2013!
