Akshay Talati, a pharmacist, is an expert in cosmetic research and innovation, having championed hundreds of successful products across twenty-three brands for Estée Lauder, Unilever, L’Oréal, and Goop, over his 30 years career. He has expertise in overseeing global innovation teams inclusive of packaging, regulatory, safety, clinical testing, and claims, as well as international expansion and new brand creations. Currently, as head of new product development and innovation for Goop, a trending wellness and lifestyle brand, he leads growth and expansion into new categories and distribution channels.
He currently serves as Vice President on the board of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, where he has previously held positions of the Committee Chair of Scientific Affairs, Area Director, and Chapter Chair. He serves on several advisory boards, co-founded Skindie™, speaks and writes for several trade shows and publications, and actively engages in mentoring professionals seeking guidance in the beauty industry.
