Jolie Alony is the Co-Founder of Thompson Chemists, a beloved neighborhood pharmacy in SoHo that goes far beyond just filling prescriptions. Jolie and her husband Gary opened Thompson Chemists in 1994 and built up the stock on their shelves by taking suggestions from their well-traveled clientele. This is what led them to carry the French Beauty products they are now known for online.
Jolie is a born and raised New Yorker who grew up spending summers in France. Her personable energy and ability to speak French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian aided the retail success of Thompson Chemists, and in more recent years it has helped them launch into social media success. Jolie is the face of the Thompson Chemists TikTok which now has over 20 k followers. Despite this new title of “influencer” you can still find Jolie helping elderly regulars and newcomers at the store every day.
